Brady Schaefer
Illustrator. Designer. Geek.
I'm an artist from the Greater St. Louis Area with 7+ years of creative experience. My work ranges from illustrations and graphics to character designs and even a few rough animations.
My stylistic influences come from my love of comics and cartoons, but I would love the chance to work in a more professional setting.

Backstory
Ever since I was little, I've always loved to create things. I would draw lots of goofy little characters and write little adventures that they would go on, and I would act out scenes with my brothers using Legos and action figures.

Fast forward some years, and I got accepted into the graphic design program at The Art Institute of St. Louis right out of high school. While the environment wasn't ideal- localized to one floor in the middle of a St. Charles office building- I had some great educators there and actually learned some valuable skills. Ultimately, the school announced, about a year into my program there, that they were closing down. Luckily, two of my teachers- Edward Engel and Jen James- had recently started putting together a new graphic design program at Stevens- The Institute of Business and Arts (or SIBA, for short) in downtown St. Louis, and brought a handful of students with them as the inaugural class.

SIBA was an incredible environment for creatives and being in the heart of St. Louis gave us more opportunities to learn from the various design agencies located there. Many of my favorite projects from this period are featured under the school projects tab. I ended up graduating from SIBA in 2018 on the President's List with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.

In recent years, I've struggled to find creative work, but I have active storefronts on Redbubble and TeePublic with original artworks, as well as artworks inspired by my favorite comics, games, shows, etc.
